Recomendations on spring tune up?

I have a 1993 suntracker 21'pontoon with a 1993 40hp Johnson mod#TJ40ELETB.I bought it last year and ran sea-foam through gas and ran it about 4-5 times occasionally it would give me a little problem firing up but would run great after that.Last time I ran it to fog the motor in fall the apendix did not come up on it's own I had to pull it up manually.The motor is super clean but I want to be sure it stays that way for years to come.I change the gear oil,oil and water seperator filter every year on previous boat this one has oil injection and dont know if I need to change the oil in the tank or not.I really just need a check off list to go by to make sure I hit what I need too.Any help would be great! Put some fresh gas in the tank, add your sea foam (actually I put the SF in first), put a fresh battery on it, squeeze the bulb till firm and turn the key to start.......grin. Spring tuneup completed.

Don't worry about the oil's age, but do obviously have an adequate supply of it on the engine.

Thats all I have to do what about the apendix and the couple of times it was hard to start?

You mean the starter "Bendix". The bendix is just the spring loaded gear that gets slammed into the flywheel when you energize the start relay/solenoid/contactor.

If the Bendix doesn't want to engage, or the solenoid that activates it just clicks, based upon what you have told me, it's only because there is inadequate energy stored in your battery to cause it to do so......i.e. your battery was approaching being dead. Charge it or replace it and recharge the new one just for safety's sake.

What else do you need my man?

If you really want to maintain the motor yourself, I would recommend that you buy a factory service manual, which has a step-by-step Tune-up Procedure, a preseason service procedure, lubrication chart, etc.
