recomended oil for 2.3L ford

can anyone tell me what kind of oil you are currently useing in you 2.3L ford? i aready saw the 98 postings for the merc. i dont need to start that all over. but does this apply to my engine also?

Manual says straight 30wt. I just went to Royal Purple Syn in my 2.3L. Runs great
