Recommend an electric anchor winch to me!

Thinking about asking santa for an electric anchor winch for CHristmas. Is Minn Kota the "go to" brand, or are there better options out there? I'm kind of skeptical of a nylon gear for something like that.

Lewmar and Maxwell are two of the leading manufacturers. I installed a Lewmar 1000 Pro and it is working well for me.
