Hey guys and gals i recently purchased a 1996 Evinrude 50Hp Model: E50TLEDS. The motor has the VRO or the OMS system disconnected, the previous owner said it worked fine but the marina advised him to do it. I KNOW I"M CRAZY for reconnecting the system but i think it's reliable as long as you do maintenance on her.
My questions is
1. How do i go about testing the VRO system after not being connected for more then a year
2. How will i get alarms i don't have the system check Gauge i heard it's built on the engine somewhere and what does the tones mean.
2. Is there a likely chance i have to do a rebuilt or even if that's Possible for the diaphragms
3. Is reconnecting the system the exact opposite of disconnecting the system
4. Is there a complete walkthrough for reconnecting the System
