Regal 2003 Commodore . 28.6 twin throttle control

I have an issue with my throttle
Twin Volvo Engines, 4.3
Starboard engine throttle handles fine
Port engine throttle the handle with Trim & Tilt buttons is not engaging smooth
Both throttle handles have neutral pushing in bottom of handle a (button that is pushed in )

Not engaging smooth in both directions
Have too force into position
Boat is new too me, used , owing a few weeks, I am not familiar with Volvo engines and throttle .
I am used too my mercruiser single throttle

Took plastic cover off of throttle control
I sprayed DW 40 all around
Still same .
I did notice what I think was a black spring on two areas protruding between opening of base of handle and control box, but not really sure what it is.

How do I remove handle and what should I look for ?
I remember doing this once before too my quick silver mercruiser handle and it was a mistake
Is there a anything on line about the Volvo throttle ? Picks etc

Ayuh,..... Odds are it's a Cable problem, 'n not the controller,....

Donno what controller ya got,... Post some pictures of it,.....

Boat is a Regal with twin Volvo 4.3
Throttle that is binding is the port side with the trim & tilt controls in handle
Boat is 2003 28.6 Commodore
Looks like original throttle, Volvo name on plastic cover
Not new too boating , but this boat is a recent purchase and working thru issues.
Each throttle handle has neutral button
Moving forward and reverse quite difficult . Once in neutral moves freely
I removed plastic cover .
two separate controls.
Sprayed DW 40 all around and tried too spray into control areas but difficult,

Did not notice allen wrench opening too remove throttle handle ?
When I look into slot between handle and body looks like a black spring or piece of plastic coming thru in two areas ???
Could be a spring causing binding but do not want too mess up handle.

Will be down at boat today and will disconnect cable from engine and see how handle works
any other help what too look for would be helpful
