For trolling motor. I've got the motor stuffed up under the bow so not really easy to get to terminals with the charger clips. What if I bought the male plug and just clip the charger to that. Any concern with running the electricity backwards? It's a minkota endura.

How about replacing the clips with a
2 prong sae connector. They are like $4
Safe secure no reversed connections.

Get 2, attach the second one so you can use the clips again if needed somewhere else.

I am not understanding the words about the electricity running backwards.

Electricity (current if you will) runs to a battery and from a battery. Not at the same time but when the battery is being charged and when the battery is powering components.

Ah, have two sets of connections, one for the regular battery clips and one for the trolling battery. Too easy that's prob why I didn't think of it.

Can you lengthen connector so I know what I'm looking for.

Buy this, cut it into a 12" piece and a 24" piece.
Splice the 12" piece on in place of the clips.
Add terminal rings to the 24" leads and connect to the battery.

If you had access to the connectors like I do, I would suggest an Amphenol ATP-06-2S and ATP-04-2P connector and terminals. however what Roscoe has above is very easy to source locally and get done today.

Decided on this. Actually going to cut the connectors off (save for another day) and butt connect from the charger to the clips on one side and the trolling plug on the other.
