remove oil injection question

I have a 1986 150 hp Suzuki. I am replacing 2 pistons because of oiling problems. I want to remove the oil injection system when I rebuild the motor but I was told I can not do that because the flow sensor on the oil system is linked to the computer and the engine will not run over 3000 rpm. Can the oil system be removed and the oil mixed with the gas?

If your going to rebuild motor why not fix oiling system? the oiling system probably is restricted/dirty

Well I dont want this to happen again. I would rather mix my oil and gas and know if it is running it is getting oil. Guess I am a little old school

From what I have read if there is a problem with the oil it will get a bearing before a piston, and if there is a problem with the fuel air ratio it will get a piston first. Did you have a bearing go or was the piston melted and scored and the bearings are ok

The bottom 2 pistons cracked, but did not lock up the motor

never heard of cracked pistons , but have heard of broke rings and scuffed pistons and cylinder walls.
what happened to the bearings?

Did you loose compression on the cylinders? or what brought your attention to cracked pistons?

grr grrr grrr
mods are gonna bust me.
dude you DID NOT have oiling issues.
fix the lean issues.
oiling issues on that engine typically turn crank journals blue and open holes iin the crankcase.
