Ok guys,

I am trying to swap lower units, and I have removed all bolts minus the two in the front, im trying to wiggle it down to have room to remove the front two. I am having problems lowering the foot enough to remove the bolts. Im not sure if its the drive shaft seized, or that i cant figure out how the shifting linkage comes off. Im new at this, and any help step by step, or pictures would help out.

Thanks,

Calloway

Marine doctor has a great video you can find on you tube. Has it separated at all or is still tight there is 5 nuts that come off if you have 3 off loosen the front 2 until they stop against the top of mid then you may have to hit with a hammer when mine is sticking i use the rubber end of my 30 oz east wing smack it on both sides till it comes loose. You can take it apart with messing with linkage and you can take it apart in F or R and N but when you put it back put it N and shift the LU into N manually and just turn flywheel till the diveshaft aligns... Hope that helps and good luck
