Yep, water pump impeller is right thar.
BTW - Cobras usually hang up on the u-joints. They are slightly larger than the boot seal they go through. Grease up the u-joint CV center section or the rubber seal when putting back on. Use a large screwdriver or bar to turn the u-joints back and forth to get thru the seal.
Thats only if you buy the OEM old stock bellows.
I have changed a bunch of them and the after market bellows kits do not fit as tight over the u-joints.
If the original poster already split the lower from the drive it will need a new seal or you are going to have water in the gear lube...
Sounds like he turned a 30 minute job into a major headache...

Thats why a service manual pays for itself...
