I removed my swim platform so I can stand up when I removed the outdrive..

I'm assuming the platform is small and easy to remove.

I'm working with a twin screw with a 10 ft beam. The platform is just under 10 ft and around 3 1/2 ft wide. Id rather stick to what I'm doing.

Anyway, I put both drives back on in a few hours by myself on Saturday. just like I do the start of every season.

I do have one question about doing it with the prop off. How do you turn the drive shaft to align to coupler splines if they are 'out' (which about 75% of the time they will be) without the prop on? :noidea:

Chris.........

Normally, have a rag with vice grips clamped on the shaft to give it a turn. This weekend I left the vice grip hang at around 10 o'clock and when I needed to turn it, the weight of the vice grip kept the shift shaft locked in place so I didn't need to hold my finger on the shift foot.

works out well..for me that is.
