Dashboard is cracking so I am adding strength wherever I can. Now, I will need to remove the gauges completely. The photo is the back side of the speedometer.

This last wire and nut will not come off. I haven't forced it yet, I don't want to break it. Is this as simple as put a wrench in there and turn it loose? Or is it a different type of fitting?? Can it be removed?

It is from a 1994 Sea Ray 180

Thanks.

Get in there with a xacto knife and cut a small slit the length if the brass barb and it should come right off. Then cut that piece off. You want a fresh joint when you put together or it could leak

Or while your at it, replace with a GPS speedo, they are much more accurate.
