Repainting My Aluminum V Bottom??

I am getting ready to repaint my aluminum V Bottom, I want to remove the old paint and start fresh. Does anyone have a recommendation of a quick, yet effective, method of removing the old paint and what would be the best choice for the new paint? Thanks

If the old paint is still Stuck to the hull,....<br />Just sand it smooth,+ Repaint it.......<br />You'll be saving Several Steps in the process as Aluminum is Very paint Unfriendly......

Search under "painting aluminum" on this forum you will find answers to all your questions including a great thread on the simplest way to paint over fairly sound existing paint. I used this information and got a fairly good result considering I hate to paint and it usually shows.
