O.K. Team, I have an 89 reinell 18' boat looks like new, but fuel tank split seam. To pull out we must pull most of floor,Paid $2500 for the package. do I try to sell the johnson 120 1991 that runs great or spend $1000 to replace the tank and repair the floor?

Re: repair or not?

what about adding an above deck tank?

$1000 for the repairs sounds a little high unless you find some rot down there. do you really want to take a look? lol

Another option would be to sell the whole thing. Someone like myself would be willing to do the work if you priced it right.

Look around for replacement tanks. You should be able to pick one up for a couple of hundred. If you do the work yourself, the materials will be nominal, just some labor. If the boat looks like new and you love it....
