Hello! Long time lurker first time posting. What do you all think? Noticed these cracks in the gel coat last night. All pics were taken underneath the hull. One is under the transom the other four run parallel, not underneath but next to the stringers. All are similar distance about 1/2 the hull lenght. Doesn't sound as if delamination is present and they aren't deep enough to catch a finger nail. So should I light it on fire (sarcasm) or attempt a repair?

Can't figure out how to upload. Here's a Google drive link

Hmm, for SURE your Garboard drain is Leaking!!! you need to remove it and inspect the wood core of your transom. I'm pretty sure you're NOT gunna like what you find!!! That ugly discolored stain is a very good indication that some BAD stuff is occuring on the inside. Those cracks are occuring due to flex in the hull which is an indication, to me, that there's some problems under your deck with the substructure, ( wet, rotting stringers) allowing the hull to flex and thereby cracking the gelcoat. They are fairly easy to repair but...that's not what I'd be worried about. Do you have any soft spots in the deck? How old is your boat?

Does anyone have a clue if the stringers in it are all composit? I thought mostly all manufacturers have been doing all composite in the last 10 to 15 years.

Does it have a VEC sticker on it anywhere? That would mean it's ALL glass contruction. If that's the case then you may have a warranty. They had problems with this hull/stringer design and and the new owners are still somewhat honoring the warranties. You might want to do some investigating.

As a matter of fact it does have a vec sticker. Unfortunately I'm the second owner of the boat. I bought it around 2009 or so. Would it still be covered?

Now since it is vec and all composite, what else could cause the cracking near the stringers?
