My motor is 25 Years old this year and I was contemplating replacing the three coil packs, plug wires and the power pack due to age. They are not malfunctioning but they are original 25 year old units. Will this be a waste of $$$ or possibly somthing I should do for maintainance?? Any other replacements of parts I should be thinking of??

Just asking, I dont know too much about the boat components but the automobile coil packs do get weak over time.

I wouldn't replace them, npd. While the coil paks may deteriorate with age the rest of those components are solid state, as jTex says.

One of the things I learned years ago is that solid state electronic comonents fail most often in the first few hours of operation. If they make it for a few months they are likely to outlive you.
