Replacement helm, and hello.

Hi guys, I haven't been on in a while and I stopped by to say hello and ask if anyone remembers the affordable helm that the guys found to use on our resto boats. I am thinkink of adding a second console and a windshield to the Sea Nymph and I would need to move everything aft a foot or so to do that. I would need a new cable, and if I remember right this whole helm and cable were not a lot more than just a replacement cable.

I'm going to bump this once. This helm and cable came in a kit and I think it even had a wheel with it. A couple of the forum regulars found them somewhere and for about the price of a Teleflex cable you got the whole package, If no one remembers it I will just let it slide on down the page,

Thanks WOG, but it is just a helm and cable, maybe with a wheel, sort of like the Teleflex kits you can get, but a different brand and less expensive. Jasoutside got one for one of his rebuilds and posted a pic with a link. I should have stashed it somewhere then but I didn't, I'm going to guess it was around 18 to 24 months ago.

Hmmm, well I just got my Teleflex Rotary system with a 14ft cable and a Wheel for $150. Is that out of your price range?

No, that looks pretty good. I just remember that when I saw the other one it was a REALLY good deal.

I don't recall Jas ordering a NEW steering wheel & cables setup from an online retail dealer. Flea-bay perhaps. I'd suggest you PM him if you think it was him. I could be wrong & over in the resto forum, he might miss it while the forum upgrade/updating is still in process.....
