Hey Guys,

Looking for some advice on replacing a through-hull on the boat. It's a underwater through-hull but is plugged, looks like it could be used for a seawater pump. It's leaking around the seem of where there thru-hull sits on the hull. Only reason I know it's leaking is some rain water got into that part of the bilge and water started leaking out of it which means water can probably get in since it's completely submerged at all times.

Never replaced one before!

Thanks,

Is it brass or plastic? Plastic has been known to crack and leak, so just replace it with a new one and seal with 5200, if it's brass you can remove it and clean all the old sealer good and reinstall it again sealing with some 3M 5200...

Do you have a picture of what you have?
