i know they are different but thats what i have on my 1988 60hp merc. your biggest issue is the size and you have to make sure you don't need any formed elbows to avoid kinks.

but im not a boat tech either.

as long as its a fuel grade line, i dont see a problem.
just make sure you know the I.D. and O.D. Fleet farm sells different style hoses for like...2 bucks a foot depending what you need.

you can also buy bend attachments if needed. then just use a clamp.

just take a tape measure and measure the line. you will have to disconnect it anyways.
personally the tie wraps scare me. but thats your call

Edit: OOOPS I read yer post wrong I thought ya said 1982 115, and 1991 115 is a different kettle o fish!!!!! PLEASE IGNORE MY REPLY: me=bad. :p

Chris1956 told me to replace the old lines with 3/8 on my 1977 1500 (which I did). Someone had put a 1/4 inch line on the primary feed which I knew was waaaaay toooooooo small from my experience on my two 1969 1000(s) which used 5/16 fuel line, (minimum size fer an inline 6).

Yer 1982 115 is like a 130 hp engine at the crank, and both my 1250(s) used 5/16 like both the 1000(s) did, so 5/16 maybe big enough.

That said: I think Chris1956 was right about the 3/8 so I would use 3/8 and stainless steel clamps to make sure there is no leaks when ya clamp down on those 5/16 fittings at the pump and carbs.

The fuel pumps on the mid 1970s were very weak and I know yer engine's fuel pump bolts to the side of the block but I think it is still the same weak design that can use all the help it can get feedin' those three hungry carbs fer maximum power and proper coolin' fer yer screamin' demon ta run a free and wild as it should.

Good luck. JR
