Hey guys I've got a quick question that will require a long answer or some diagrams. What kind of effort is involved in replacing an engine in my boat. Is it just unbolt the old one and pull it out along with electronics and drop the new one in and rewiring it.
anyway that's my rediculous question. thanks alot.

Re: replacing motor

I have replaced 3.0 Mercury. It took about 30 min to remove engine and 30 min to install new one w/o stern drive. I used comealon hooked to tree. Peace of cake. I did not install sterndrive because it was broken. Owner paid twice more than boat book value. New engine, installation and repairing sterndrive. He new about bad sterndrive when he ordered new engine.
