These engines have spent there life in salt water. The bushings have broken and are being pushed out of the casting. The last time I did this job the engine was off the boat. Is it possible to support the engine with a hoist and move it far enough to replace the bushings without taking the mounting brackets off the boat, When I did the other engine I had a very difficult time removing the SS pin for the hydraulic piston and also the long threaded rod that holds the lower portion of the hydraulic tilt assemby. PB Blaster didn't seem to do much.
Any tips to make this job go easier would be much appreciated.
