Replced piston and rings on a 1996 Johnson

All,<br /><br /> Replaced the piston ,rings, Stats, water pump on a 1996 johnson. What sort of breakin proceedure would you recommend, I have read in the Johnson manual (1996 handbook) to go oil/gas distribution of 50/2 (Breakin) . Which is twice the normal running oil distribution at 50/1.<br /><br /> The engine was quite hard to start after intial run it of about an hour on Idle..<br /><br /> Appreciate all responses,<br /><br /> Tom Olsen'

What size motor is this? Did I miss it?<br /><br />Is it a small single cylinder motor?

90 Hp Cross Flow

double oil for first 10hrs. throttle range from 1/4 to 3/4. until the rings seat.

The idle time durring break in doesnt have to be double oil. What spark plugs are you using?
