Repower question

Currently have 1993 175hp evinrude spitfire 60 degree. Considering buying a 1996 200hp evinrude for about $3500. Will this 200 match up to my existing controls and harness? Also, is 3500 a fair price for a used motor?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Tim

The controls will work. The harness will work with some adaptors although I think you'd be better off with a new harness and the newer gauges. 3500 isnt bad -- depending on condition. The 200 is heavier than your 60 degree motor. Not a problem if your boat is large enough.

It is on a 203 Dusky so the extra weight should not be a problem. I would like to change the harness but I traced it back to the console and it does not look too easy. But based on your knowledge from what I have seen on this board if you tell me to do it I will! I noticed your in Port Charlotte I am in west palm beach, hope you made out ok during the storms!
