If you already have a fuel/water separator you certainly don't need another one. If you don't have one, you should! The old tach will wire to the motor. The trim gauge will also work -- if the DT has a trim sender and it's compatible with the gauge. The tach and trim gauge connectors will not match so you can cut & splice or go to Radio Shack or an electronic supply house to get a couple connectors to make the connections.
