repowering w/ 2003 suk dt225 efi questions

am replacing 91 225 johnson , do I need an additional fuel filter /water seperator ? will the old tach wire in to this motor ? trim gauge also ? d

If you already have a fuel/water separator you certainly don't need another one. If you don't have one, you should! The old tach will wire to the motor. The trim gauge will also work -- if the DT has a trim sender and it's compatible with the gauge. The tach and trim gauge connectors will not match so you can cut & splice or go to Radio Shack or an electronic supply house to get a couple connectors to make the connections.

to take advantage of the alarm system you will either need the proper suzuki tach and harness or at a minimum the suzuki monitor guage with the correct harness.
the tach is a 12 pole setting and best I remeber suzuki used yellow as tach send.
my advice would be to purchase the correct suzuki parts then its simply plug and play.
