So, I received the Resiweld that I ordered. It's a two-part epoxy, and the "kit" comes with wooden tounge depressers and a little graduated plastic shot-glass looking cup and a few napkins.....funny stuff.
The ridiculous thing is the price and how much the kit has........each of the two-part epoxy containers is like 3 or 4 ounces! So, I imagine that you could glue a dozen, or so, of the lower swivel pin bushings on the gimbal ring, with one kit. Therefore, I will likely be re-selling the remaining of this kit on eBay.;)
The other annoying thing, was that some of the contents on one of the containers leaked out a little.......you would thing for that price, they would use containters that sealed correctly

Re: Resiweld

sounds like JB weld... i.e. gray epoxy

When I worked for a Caterpillar dealer, they had "Epoxy Mixercups" in the parts system - handy little peel and stir containers

Re: Resiweld

The consistancy is like thick maple syrup, both parts are rather sticky, too, if you get any on your hands, and one part is clear while the other is clear yet tan-ish in color.
It's expensive, but I want to replace this bushing, while I have everything apart during my Swivel Shaft Seal replacement job. And, since the lower bushing is a nylon-type of material that needs to be glued to Aluminum, I don't want to take a chance in substituting some other 2-part epoxy, in the hopes that it will properly bond with both materials......so... etc. etc.
