Tomorrow I'm going to start ripping out the floor. I'll post pics and show what's going on. Also I'll drill the transom too

ok I found out its a15 ft 1967 Wellcraft, that's all I know. I started tearing out he floor and found out it only has 3 stringers

Also the sides of the deck sets on a fiberglass ledge that is formed with the hull. whats the best way to cut out the old deck seems like a sawzaw is out.

Your model # R1500V, I could only find this, http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/Wellcraft. Looks like most of the runabout type boats used 2 back to back seats.

As for those rectangle stainless steel pieces, those are for bows to support the cover.

Looks like a fun project and looking forward to your completion, not like the other guy 2 years ago. :D

To get the transom out you will need to remove the top cap of the boat. Do this by removing the rubber insert of the bumber rail and then drill out the hundreds of rivets hold on the railing.

With a boat this small do I need to brace anything when I remove the cap? And should I be able to do everything while it's on the trailor?

All fiberglass boats become loose and floppy when the structure is cut out of them, so the answer is yes.

You need to take multiple measurements of the the interior of the hull prior to removing the cap. Across the beam and to of Gunwales to floor height. Once the Cap is removed you can use nylon straps to maintain the shape of the hull somewhat. Is the trailer a bunk trailer or a roller trailer? If it's a bunk you could leave it on the trailer and add some additional supports. It all depends on how the trailer fits the hull. Pics will help us to help you.

Yup, it's a bunk trailer but we'll need to determine where the the bunks are and their length so we can help you with placement of additional supports. Sometimes it's actually easier to remove it from the trailer and build a cradle for it.
