I have a motor question if anybody knows the answer please enlighten me.
It starts great on muffs, but as soon as you drop it on a lake it's like pulling teeth to get it to start then it runs fairly well after that.
It's a 1972 Johnson 50.
paint job looks great, you need to give the paint a few days to harden up, friday should be good. looks alot like my johnson but I got no clue on the hard start, go to the engine thread, should be a ton of info on there.
put the hull in the sunniest place you have to heat cure the paint. enamel is what takes the longest to fully harden up. give it at least a week in the sun.
sorry, no idea on the motor Q. any possibility there are variables between the muffs and the lake which might be affecting it? battery charge etc come to mind.
Thanks, feels good to be done outside. The driveway is in full sun all day. The motor thing is weird, I don't know what the difference is. checked all the standard stuff, spark, fuel, all seems good. Have all brand new deep cycles. Can't wait to launch
