I am moving my boat to a temp marina for three weeks and then then up river to another marina until
l my slip is ready at a rebuilt marina with 100% new slips. For most boats this would not be a big deal but for this one it is.

I know I could never put my older yacht next to a newer one but on the inland rivers she is one of a kind. The layout is the best I have ever seen of a boat this size, and she is starting to come together fast.

Captain, with all due respect, I have to disagree with you, Sir...

Knowing all the work you have put into this beautiful yacht, her striking lines, when it is completely finished, you could put this beauty any where, next to any yacht, and she would stand out a PERL among ordinary stones...

I agree with GT. I would have no problems putting that in front of the newer ones. That is a one of a kind GEM! Makes my little 17' tinny restore seem like childs play.

It just hit me! I think I know this boat! You picked her up in louisville didn't you?

EDIT: well actually the indiana side of the river..... either way I used to stop near her and just daydream about what it would be like to take on such a project. Then one day she was just gone..... VERY cool!

I think I'm soooooooooo jealous..... I bet I shut the engine off and just drifted past that thing dozens of times thinking "if only"

You are doing a bang up job.... heck your galley alone would have FAR exceeded my resources for the whole project....

If you ever cruise her back up this way I'd LOVE to check it out in person.

We. Anytime you guy want to come by just let me know, Nashville tn,

Taking on like this is a lot of work and it is a full time job not to forget the money. I have been working on her for nineteen months and will be here another twelve to finish all the small stuff.

When you complete her, will you be permanently docking it down on The River? Or, mooring it on Old Hickory Lake?

Do you plan on doing any touring? Like down the Cumberland River, thru Barkley Canal and up the Tennessee River?

I plan to take her to Old Hickory in about two weeks and hope to stay on the lake except for travel. Yes I do hope to do some travel.

What dock on hickory? Black Jack Cove is a great dock but I don't know if it will handle that large of a girl.

Re: Restoring the LOST PERL 103'

Well on Friday we brought the boat from Cheatham lake to Old Hickory lake 53 miles in a bad storm. When we got here the marina next to us had been torn up bad from the storm. We just had to fight 50-60 mph winds and a white out from the rain and hell.
