Here's my idea....you are retired first, then when you're 60 years old....you start working!

The Honey-Do list gets longer and longer.

And you can't say you don't have time to do all those things.

On the good side, you can always say you need to go to XYZ for stuff to work on the list - Anytime you need a break. :D

Doing OK. So far I like the new boat. Still learning how to handle inboards, far different than the twin I/O's on my 3055. Lots of room on the Carver with the aft cabin. The only thing I don't like is the 17 MPH cruising speed, miss the 28 to 32 MPH of the Ciera. I guess I will just have to enjoy the trip more now that it will take longer.

Well I was tired yesterday and retired today.

I have to say I retired over 5 years ago now. Wow time flies by. And the usual talk about retiring and sitting around just doesn't fit in my retirement life. I honestly have more to do now then when I was actually working a job. And all those that said I would get bored when I retire are certainly wrong. I have more projects scheduled now then before I retired.

It took me a long time to get use to not going to work. I mean a long time! But I do enjoy life in retirement and stay really busy too. But a nicely equipped shop allows me to do most anything I want to do as well. :thumb:

One thing about being retired hasn't been mentioned yet.

It gives plenty of time to go to all those doctor appointments!! :pound:

I retired over 9 years ago and I can't imagine going to work. I worked in Seattle so I moved away from that rat race and slow moving parking lot called I-5.

I still miss the people and work. I liked at least 80% of my job but the time was right and my house sold near the peak so I made the jump.

Now I spend much of my days in my shop trying to get something done without a deadline:joyous:.

Then I bought a Starcraft boat that needed work and now I'm waiting for warmer weather. A friend told me about this forum so!!!!!
It's a chore trying to keep my shop from freezing. Last night was 5 and tonight is supposed to be about the same. Then it should begin warming up a little:laugh:.

Welcome to the retiree side of life. The only down side I see is the years we waited to retired made us get older.

Star, yes the years have added up. And even though I have been retired for over 5 years now, my co-workers still email me and call me to go out and eat lunch with them too. So I get to visit with all my co-workers through out the year. The best of both worlds. :thumb:
