Planning on replacing my risers this off season. The manifolds are FWC'd.
Anyone have any tricks on draining the manifolds other than just removing the hoses at the bottom?
Trying to eliminate as much of a mess as possible........don't need to drain the entire cooling system.......

Re: Riser Replcement

Ayuh,.... Howdy Tony,....
If ya don't have drains in 'em, then ya loosen, or remove the hose....

Get yerself a Hose Pick, it looks like an ice pick, with a big bend towards the end...
Ya slip it under, 'n 'round the hose to break the bind of the hose on the fittin'...
Donno how I ever got along without 1...
It makes pullin' hoses Easy, instead of a tug of war...

Hey Bondo.....hope all is well.
Was hopin' you had some other trick besides pulling the hoses.......maybe I can pull the hose and plug it with something so not so much drains out.....:)

Had a pretty uneventful season.......nothing major went wrong.......just had to replace a throttle cable!!

Have 4 seasons on the risers......will soon see what salt does in 4yrs!!
