I have an 89 14' Lund and will be adding several rivets to the hull. Is there a critical temperature range for adding rivets to an aluminum boat? I don't want to crack the holes, due to cold metal, when riveting. The weather outside now is between 40-45 degrees F. Thanks for your replies.

Ear protection is very important, be safe.
Thanks DeepCMark58A. Your advice is well taken and one that I would have not paid too much attention to. A friend of mine used to add rivets to aluminum boats in Wisconsin and he warned me about ear protection. I learned the hard way about ear protection, even when I was flying a Cessna back in the day, even though we wore headsets when flying. I think I'll try my electronic deer hunting headset and see how that works. I'll give a report of my findings after I get a few rivets installed. Thanks again.
