Rocker arm discoloring

Wondering if engine guys have seen this.
It’s from my 454 Mag. Only one with discoloration and it looks like it got hit with a grinder at some point. Near as I can tell the motor has never been apart and has very little wear. But this one rocker is weird. Pushrod is not damaged at all and no bluing on the rocker ball.
The roller tip has crunchies spots in it so I’m replacing all the rockers with full rollers, along with new lifters. May or may not have to replace the push rods. I will see once I get the rockers.

something got hot.

looks like someone took a die grinder to remove a lock nut.

I would replace the pushrods as hot metal usually looses it tempering.

So long as there is not something else that would indicate that cylinder hot hot, I think its just another batch of rockers came in to the factory. Nothing to pay attention to
