Never saw hull supports like that before. Rather neat. But if they are not in good shape, the best thing is to replace the mess with something solid.

Mark I intend to remove the entire floor/stringers. There was no foam in the floor. I have still yet to get a response on the foam issue and whether I need it or if it would be a good idea to foam the bow floor area where the bulkhead is,(in front of console). The halfround caps look similar to the 58 BELL BOY Renovation project thats on here. The only other I have seen since removing my floor.

Alan thanks for the clarification..

Hay Pauly , on the foam , you dont have to put it in there !! if you didnt have it in there then you dont need it for structure!!
Now that being said there are a lot of people on here that hate the stuff, Im not one of them , my ride could be cut in thirds and it still wouldnt sink !!
Its more for saftey , if you hit a log, stump put a big hole in her she would go down with out it !!
its up to you , for me it made me feel a heck of a lot safer !! John

Hey John, I am figuring the cardboard circles were intended on the floatation. It really wasn't done with pride thats for sure..heavy mat and some resin..thats it..
So for the BIG question which I think will address the log issue, safety, more stability. I do want some floatation..The captain will indeed keep his crew safe..twin girls...Can you see in my picture the area to the front, the little cubby has a 18" step up to the bow. This is hollow. Would foam be an option in that space...its roughly 3x3..and deep. I haven't cut it open to see whats doing in there but I am thinking that the added foam will provide strength, safety, (hitting a log.or a big fish.)..add a bit of weight to the bow to plane the boat... and probably quiet things down when jumpin waves. If not there I will add closed cell foam panels between the stringers..

Both sound good !! have you checked out US Composities, com they have great prices and fast shipping , and some great people , they really help me when i was doing mine !! and nope i dont work for them !! lol

The 2lbs stuff is great , I got pics in my thread, its not going to add a lot of weight , but it does cut down on the sound !! a lot !!

the pour foam is really easy , just mix for 15 seconds and then pour and watch it grow !!! John
