At first I thought battery. Took battery out of my truck, same problem. Added additional starting power w/jmpr cables, still cranks hard w/o starting. Then I thought corroded connections. Cleaned everything and even bypassed existing wiring to starter w/4 gauge wire(both power and ground), no change. I have fuel and spark. When I pull the plugs, it turns over easily. After looking through the manual, I tested the pulser coil which said that the yellow and red wires should meter out between 320 and 391 ohms. It metered at 700 ohms. Is this enough to cause the problem? The second test in the manual w/ the white and red wires checked out at 350 ohms. 2 weeks ago it was hard to start but when it got started it ran fine, except at idle where it died a few ties while I was trolling. It seems now that it is maybe firing wrong so that it is actually working against itself in trying to start.
