Do you or anyone know if a Zuki prop will fit a 225 Yammy?????(1992 model yammy)
I don't have the engine or the prop to look at, Just an email with this question.
I know the 13 spline suzuki props have a closed-face hub like a Turbo for an OMC, but I haven't seen a 15 spline version.

The splines will be right but you may have to do some spacer swapping and washer adding to get it all lined up.

That's what I'm trying to figure out....15 spline is 15 spline-same shaft, but hubs are different.
Need to know if this will fit directly or is a thrust washer (different) needed.
Trying to answer a customer's question via email, and I've never run across this particular issue.

We have swapped some around years ago when my son worked for a Susuki dealer. I remember the thrust washer having to be changed. he was putting aftermarket and Yamaha props on a Susuki. It will not just bolt right up with the same thrust washer.

I know a yammy prop will fit a zuki with the right T. washer, but the zuki prop is a hole different animal due to the closed fwd portion of hub. I think I may have a washer for a Turbo that may work with the Zuki as they both have simular hub fronts...I just don't know.

Re: Rodbolt--Suzuki prop on a Yamaha

hello
I do know that on some there is a diameter difference. cause I picked up the zuki (LC) adapter and used it on a shaft that needed a (Z) adapter. it held till about 3000 RPM and spun the splines on the adapter. one of the few times I scared myself with the IDC 2003 series Dyno.
the Z adapter fits yamaha above 70 HP and a lot others, the LC fits zuki 150 and up. the LC and the Z adapters were both 15 spline. I have a 225 yam I can measure the OD if it will help but no large zukis. the LC adapter also fits chrysler/force above 85 HP.(below about 77) so I do know there is a diameter difference between the 15 spline zuki shaft and the 15 spline yam shaft in the v6 range. but if ya wanna get scary run a 200 hp jonnyrude to 5500 RPM at full load and have the drive shaft splines let go. dont know how fast a 83 200 jonny can spin when the load is released at 5500 RPM at full load but it was rather disconcerting. the tach was coming off 8k when I got off the throttle.

well, I think that answers my question....I don't believe it will work. Thanks for the info..
p.s. I hope my '82 200 'Rude doesn't come unspooled like that..I got XP heads on it and I don't think it would handle 8k...did it live thru it???
