I put a 19in stainless prop on my 110 evinrude, it is on a 19ft center console, with myself and my son motor did 5200 rpm top speed trimmed out, the boat was moving fast, thinking that this is not enought rpm for this engine, what size sst prop could i put on to get 5800 rpms! thanks for replys :)

Re: rpm range

I would work with the set up first. We always try that first before going to a lower pitch. Even though we sell a lot of props we only change props as a last resort to achieving rpms.

Re: rpm range

Dhadley, i have several props 17 alum/ 5600 rpm/ 15 alum/ 5800 rpm, 19 ss 5100rpm/ 19 in gives the most speed/ motor in set back from transom bottom of boat is level with anticav plate on motor! i am thinking a 17 or 15 in sst prop wold give me speed and best over all performance!

Re: rpm range

Its really hard, if not impossible, to compare an aluminum prop to a ss. If the AV plate is even with the bottom and you have set back (how much?) I'd bet the motor could be raised. That will pick up the r's and will give you more speed as well as a better holeshot.

What brand / style ss prop?
