What is the exact name of the rubber/plastic rail the runs the perimeter of my boat?

I have a 1994 Sea Rayder and I'm looking to replace this, it is chipped and cracked.

It's called "rub rail". Replacements are readily available online and in stores.

Wow the kits I found are EXPENSIVE! $300+?!

My boat is only 14 feet long surely they make smaller kits?

The online stores usually have minimum quantities of 50 feet or so. If you have a 14 foot boat you'll probably need at least 15 feet per side plus 6 feet for the transom; about 36 feet total. You may be able to order smaller quantities in a brick & mortar store but make sure you order enough to allow for mistakes.

If you have an metal rail with rubber insert you may be able to save some money by replacing just the rubber.
