I've got Two Mercruiser 2016 vintage 6.2L 350 HP (CAT) DTS engines that I will be sending off to a good home at some point. I anticipate needing to run these engines on their pallets at some point (testing, demonstration, compression test, etc).

I've run carburated engines out of the boat before, pretty much like a slam dunk. . . But these electronically controlled engines are a different beast. I assume that if I pulled all of the digital throttle and shift stuff out of the boat, I could probably mimic their connectivity in the boat.
Just wondering if there is a short-cut type of approach to get them to run (at least at idle speed) with some basic connections.
@Fun Times , @Scott Danforth , @muc @Scott06 . . . Others?
TIA for any guidance on this question.
