I have a 03 Johnson four stroke 90 hp EFI
Recently had to replace electronica fuel pump now runs great for 30 seconds seems like it runs out of gas odd thing is you can hit the switch and it will crank right back up like it never ran out of gas runs for about 30 more seconds with that down again
Wondering about fuel regulator or hoses

I would be checking fuel filter, fuel pump pressure and the float.

Checking the plugs to see if fouled or dry can help point your direction for too much fuel (float) or not enough (filter/pump).

unless I am wrong here the " float" is strickly a vent float in the VST reservoir. A sticky needle would cause an air lock hindering the inflow of fuel from the lift pump... depriving the high pressure pump from doing it's job.

but as you all know I have developped a taste for crow :)

Ok I will check this out
Could it be a cracked hose ?

cracked hoses cause fuel leaks on the pressure side or lack of suction on the lift pump side

knowing if any codes come up would help greatly ...but you are left with assumptions.

the float " venting needle" inside the vst might be freed up as a test...if you try a backflush . I have never done this... but me.. I would try disconnecting the hose and give the vst vent a short blast of carb cleaner . careful not to break delicate VST nipples. $$$$$ Check any filters for clogging.

the alternative is to open the VST and inspect the float needle & float hinge

again.. careful not to break delicate VST nipples. $$$$$

the more modern VST on ETECs have small conical filter at their base nipple
on the return line from the injectors

have you tried pumping the bulb before it dies ??

What trouble shooting has been done if any.-----Was the fuel pump tested BEFORE it was replaced ?---Pressure regulator.----Lift pump ? ---Oil pressure ----Etc , etc.----Some times a trip to a SUZUKI dealer might save you some beer tokens.

not much done yet ... waiting for feedback on basic pump test, filter checks etc...
I do not think the fuel pump was replaced ... distance to dealer seems far since OP can't get the codes checked out ???

I have tried pumping the bulb, still died down
My Mechanic said something about blowing into a fuel regulator hose and it would keep running

It would not run unless sprayed starter fluid into the Breathercould not hear fuel pump home interning key to first position

Well, maybe water in the fuel. If built in tank(s), likelihood of water pretty high if the fuel is less-than-fresh. Transfer into a glass jar and let it settle out. Water would appear at the bottom, gas on top. Sometimes something simple.
