hi guys
i took out number 1 spark plug from my 1972 aq130a volvo today and a rush of air came out (engine off) when i say a rush of air it was an explosion of air is this normal??????
could of been that you shut the motor off right when the piston and valves were on the compression stroke so yeah its possible. I wouldnt sweat it.

unless it stopped all three times in the extact same spot which i dont think is likely, i would pull valve cover and check you exhaust valve is opening you may have bent a push rod, i have seen rockers bust in halve
Does it do this on all 4 cylinders? (that would be strange) Does the engine run? If not, does the distributor rotor turn with the engine? If the distributor does not turn then I would be looking at the timing belt.
