Re: Russia

You'd think these same countrys would beat feet it to North Korea in the name of world peace and get that situation solved before we open a can of whoop a$$ on them too.

Re: Russia

When this is done with, the UN will find out that those opposing countrys will have violations against them. France has/had billions of dollars in trade and Russia probably also with Iraq. That would be against the resolutions set by the UN. DUH!

I think they should drop the WMD into the hands of the opposers and let them deal with the disposal. (in open conatainers of course)

I stop and think then pray that I live in a country that the majority of us appreaciates the freedom that we have. We are doing the right thing, but the job has begun and we need to finish it with or without France and Russia.

With the reprocussions of this war, the relations between Russia and France will not be the same. It doesn't hurt my feelings one bit.

There is something wrong when a country lets its women run around with hairy armpits! YUK! How repulsive!

Re: Russia

lol at skinny !

man, russians selling eqmt to iraq to counter our eqmt... i think they're either jealous and testing their stuff, or just trying to make a quick buck in wartime. and yall should already know the french provided the major funding for the nuclear reactor in iraq. the only one, and claimed for power production, as we have on our river systems.
-except iraq doesn't need nuclear power - they have oil out the wazoo- DUH!
-thank goodness it was blown up long ago.
-by israeli fighter pilots to boot. too bad we lost one of them as the israeli astronaut on columbus...

i still can't figure if russia is testing their techie knowhow, just trying to make money off the war, or proving their hatred of america too...maybe they're just following the ole saying - "all is fair in politics and war". i'm just thinking how sad it is that the activists pick a small issue and complain like there's no tomorrow- they should pick on the ones hurting america instead...

once someone here said we can't make a diff in other countries since we're not there, but we can change our country's faults... not so. ours is the least needing change, otherwise why stay? keep the faith :D

God Bless the U.S.of A. :D

Re: Russia

Well, its quite obvious that this Russian equipment doesn't work.

The Iraqis are still trying to interpit the Russian writing, that when translated says "Made in China".

Instead, they should try following the picture directions on the back of the box.

Opps, I guess I should not have said that, the Iraqis might be monitoring this forum for military secrets!?!

Re: Russia

The funny part about it is the Russians sold Iraq GPS jamming equipment and we took out 6 GPS jamming equipment with GPS guided missiles.

Go figure that one.

Says a lot for the jamming system. :D

Re: Russia

I think it all stems from afganistan when the US was supporting the afgans with weapons for their war. The only problem is that the US has it over the whole world with the tech that they have. I think this will take longer then thought but the end result will be the same Sadam is GONESVILLE. For 1 I cant wait I want a sport utility so I need gas to be cheaper LOL

Re: Russia

You are right, Milo. Except that you will see that while oil might go down, gas won't so much.
It is after all, mostly what this is about.
The Iraqis do not seem to be opening their arms wide for our liberation efforts.

And it is interesting to see that when we have helped others in their fights, it is considered our duty, wheras when someone helps someone we don't like, they are considered scumbags. The really sad part is that it often comes back to bite us, as when we provided Iraq with Chem and Bio weapons to use on the Iranians, or when we provided aid to Bin Laden in his struggle against Russians.

It is always nice to know that we are on the high moral ground, as it was morally right and important that the Iraqis gassed the Iranians as planned--too bad they turned it on the Kurds instead.

And it is just incredible that there are people out there that disagree with us, like the French. What good is a democracy if you can't compell people out of fear to do as they are told?

Re: Russia

Plywoody

Only the other day I read a report of an Iraqi woman being hanged by Saddam's Republican Guard. Her crime...waving to the coalition troops. I guess that might give an indication as to why we're not seeing them "opening their arms wide for our liberation efforts".

Iraq is a country controlled by fear - and Saddam is the master manipulator of that medium.

I'm not surprised by the events that are unfolding. I don't think the Iraqi people understand the meaning of the words freedom and liberation - but who can blame them when they have yet to experience it. I think they are too afraid of the guns at their backs.

Compell people out of fear ?? - that's the Iraqi experience not the American one - surely your reasoning defies your conclusion?

Re: Russia

Plywoody, your sarcasm isn't lost on me. Your view is relieving amid all of this hyper-patriotism (nationalism?) How many of us are confusing fear for patriotism? How many of our freedoms have we given up in the past two years out of fear?
How could we possibly be safe unless we uniformly agree with everything we're told by our natl. govt.(sarcasm)?

It seems to me that everyone is so afraid of what might happen that they aren't paying any attention to what IS happening. We are being misled.

PLYWOOD
What America should do. Hunt people down that
think like you do. And supply them with a one
way ticket to the dictatorship of your choice.
All expenses paid, as not to disrupt your bank
account. I'll bet you are high and moral enough
to be sitting by yourself.

All,

I do not believe that Plywoody is speaking from "sarcasm". That, I believe, is truly what he believes.

I will fight to the death for the Plywoody's of the world to express their opinions.

That is what freedom is all about.
