Because all of our weekends in October are already taken with other events we sadly closed up for the season. We decided to bite the bullet now instead of trying to take care of it on a rainy day in the 40's. She's on the hard, winterized, and ready for shrink wrap. The dock stuff is put away. :pout: The weather cooperated spectacularly this season. Only one weekend rain-out. What the heck...it's only 7 months. C'mon April!

I'm tooling up to Charleston this week for an event and camping out on the boat for five days. After that I have to winterize two travel trailers and two boats. The good news is that I keep them all at home so throughout the winter I can go out and sit in them. I keep electric supplied for electric heat, refrigerator, and television, so it's not so bad.

Where're ya from, airdvr1227?

We're up in GB, WI, and are busting out the heater and blankets for our last hoo-ra weekend this coming Friday. Always seems like the summer flew by, but we've had a ton of good times this year.

A few highlights by which to remember this great season:

First weekend of the season. A cold and rainy night on the boat is better than a nice night away from the boat:

Primo spot for the July 4th fireworks:

Beautiful day for a river cruise:

Fly-by past The Great Republic as she makes her way down the channel:

Longtail Point on an 90 degree day with cold drinks and good company:

I keep mine in my garage. Funny, my 3 year old granddaughter has to go out to look at the boat when she has a visit. The two of us will climb in the boat and turn the radio on and just have a little talk with grandpa making motor boat noises and pretending to drive down the lake, bahaha.

Nice pics ghost. We're on Lake Erie's western basin near Toledo and the islands.

Roffey...love that story. You're granddaughter will remember those good times with grandpa.
