Safe Skeg Does Not Fit

This is for a 99 Johnson 50 hp J50PLEEA

I ordered one of these based on their catalog listing which showed:

MOTOR
Evinrude/Johnson Outboard
HP
40-50 & 60 HP (E-TEC)
STROKE

YEARS
1984-2008
Part Number
35-SS640

Didn't come close to fitting Not sure what motors they are talking about. Can't be saying 1984 to 2008 E-TEC (Since E_TEC didn't exist till 2003)

They admitted today that they do not make such a part and suggested I measure my skeg, look through their drawings and see what might fit.

Looks like they list one that fits. I'll check with them to verify before ordering. Also Want to check into Blackfin Skeg as well. They are local, about 15 miles away.
