I thought I had it licked but noooooooo will start and run but if you shut it off it wont start for lets say days I had the carb rebuilt but that didn't do it
am trying to find a fuel pump and I will replace the rest of the fuel system as time and money allows so if anyone has any advice I'm all eyes

Did you ever get a spark tester, and check it for spark? I'm not sure you can get one at Farm and Fleet, but most auto parts stores have something. Look for a simple adjustable one (should be about $10 or so).

Correct me if you checked for spark earlier -- know there were fuel related issues. If your spark is good (about 3/8" for yours, I think), you will know the magneto parts are working. I don't remember if compression was discussed -- maybe could borrow a tester.

it has spark initaly but I'm not sure after its been run has good compression before and after run new plugs altho I don't have trust in champion plugs I wil now test spark
