Sand In Carb Ouch

OK So we figured it out .the sand that is in the fuel filter got into the fuel system and put holes in the side of two of the pistons .ouch .
I tried to attach pics and it said file was two large .I think I might have a nice capri available with brand new interior and many extras.

Why would any one buy a Capri from some one that gets sand in their fuel? Ouch!

what may have happened is your fuel pump, I believe it's the check valves, disintegrated and got stuck in your carb inlet valves causing a lean condition which will trash your cylinders very quickly. I took Frank's advice an installed a fuel filter between the fuel pump and carbs. It's cheap insurance against this happening. You don't have to dump the boat, you could rebuild. These are easy engines to work on and many on this forum have done it and would help/advise you

Thanks Everyone For All Your Help.i Think I Am Going To Go The Dumping Route . I Will Find Another Boat Over The Winter .sorry To Say It Will Be A Johnson Never Had A Problem With Johnson Before.

Sounds like you have a really nice boat with a really bad motor
I had a nice Bayliner with a really bad Force 125
Not the cheapest solution, but by far the easiest
