saving HIN#....

Like many people on here, i'll be sanding, priming and painting my hull soon...bu it just dawned on me, what do i do about saving the HIN# on the transom??

should i just mask off that small area and not sand and paint it?? keep in mind, the hull is currently blue, but will be yellow when i'm done..

your thoughts??

I had a plate made for mine so when i do repaint it..all i have to do is pop the rivets out or drill them out

Ayuh,... Sand it Lightly,+ paint it Lightly, so it don't flood out...
