Re: scenery on watts bar

Since there is such a demand for this heyjack bait, I have decided to save it for next year and donate it as a door prize at next years get together. Should be prime time by then..

What you didn't see was bubba putting my heyjack on a hook and holding his nose at same time..
So far i have met four members and must say there wasn't a dull moment. I met neaumanns last year up north and he is just like his persona on iboats. As with Bubba and Spinner and Noel in the Ozarks. Well you can just imagine what its like when three ridgerunners do a day of fishin together.

Do yourself a favor and mark your calendar next year and join us. It will be a time you will remember for years to come or want to forget.

Re: scenery on watts bar

Thanks Bubbakat, SBN, and Gonfishin.

I spent 3 hours yesterday investigating more info on Watts Barr and the rest of the navigation route of the TVA. Ingornarance on my part of not knowing what and where and why made me curious about the navigation and creation of the waterway.

Up until yesterday, I didn't know that it emptied out into the Ohio river. With this now in mind, my wife and I are doing some planning on making the journey there by boat.

We would put in at McConnelsville Oh on the Muskingum, then hang a right on the Ohio River, then make a left on the Tennesse River. Then about 550 miles later we should be at Watts Barr. Approx trip one way is about 800 miles :D

Would be neat to have some others cruise along on the trip. Would be one way of eleminating wear and tear on the ole tow vehicle.

You forgot to mention, Is there an ad on the other side of the shirt for Heyjack Bait?

SS

Re: scenery on watts bar

Would it be possible if I could get the location in which the get-together is? It is on the Watts Barr Pool isn't it? I went through the Corp of Engineers website for the navigation routes. www.orn.usace.army.mil If you can check it out and give me a mile marker I would appreaciate it. Click on Naviagation and then Tennesee River, then got to the Watts Barr Pool

Thanks......SS

SS, does it have a lock to go though?
I don't remember seeing one.
But anyway, where we were at is at about RM545.
The lock is at RM529.5, so that is a starting point anyway.

SBN there is a lock. It should be a fun one to lock thru. It has a 60' lift! :D There is no experience in the world than locking thru. Plus it is free! It is operated with our tax money. So it is one way of enjoying one of our resources.
I think where you are planning this is on chart #78. It gives a vague list of resorts that is located on this section of waterway.

Thanks....SS
