scored another steal!

back in early june, i was a non-boater and had never owned one before. then i took a chance and bought a used boat/motor trailer for $900. it was a 13.5 sporty fiberglass hull from around 1960, a span america, with a 1959 35hp johnson "big twin" that runs fantastically. i couldn't believe my luck, and then this past october i began to see a lot of evidence that people were unloading their toys, boats included, due to the weak economy maybe? in any event, i found a 16 foot 1968 sportline, [sleek and sporty, and light], with an evinrude 135. what a hoot! runs like a top. came with all kinds of nice and expensive extras. and what did it pay? $1000. i can't believe it.

Economy as of late will net the man with cash a great deal.Post some pics man I like to check out other boats.It isnt cheating on the two I have if I dont touch, just looking.

ok, some pics:

here are two of the 16 footer with the 135 'rude. they are of low quality, as they are lifted straight off craigslist, where the PO had it listed for sale. this is the boat bought back in mid-october. it's kept at the wife's grandparents house near lake mohave, on the ca, nv, az border.

and here are a couple of the first boat i bought, back in june. the 13.5" span america with the '59 johnny "big twin" 35:

the hole in the dash where the stereo used to be is good to go, with an alpine plug. the boat is wired and has speakers for stereo.
