Yes it is a very active thing. My SIL is really into it which making selecting Christmas and Birthday gifts easy. We just buy her scrapbooking supplies and she is content.

Hey Ron...

I'm in the same boat (ha.. good pun)... My wife is in it WOT right now. I don't want to calculate the amount of money we have spent on it so far. But, at least she has a hobby that she really enjoys. She gets together with her scrapbooking friends and trades ideas. Then theres the

punches
scissors
stamps
stickers
books
pages
inserts
paper
eyelets
embellishments
pens
pencils
inks
wire
rope
embossers
heat guns

oh... did I mention they need a place to store all this crap too?!

Sean

(As if we were already spending too much time together.)

Re: scrapebooking

See . . . I like it when the Ole Lady has stuff like this that she is doing.

It works like this: Me, "Honey I need a new prop" She says "we can't afford it" Me, "we just spent $500 on your scrapbook stuff". Her "Yeah, you're right, sorry, go ahead".

Or like this: Me, "Honey I need a new prop" She says "we can't afford it" Me "do you need $500 more scrapbook stuff?" Her "I love you, go ahead and get the prop, I'll be back in a couple of hours".

Either way, I get a prop. Works like a charm ;)

More like "that's why we can't afford a prop...."

Re: scrapebooking

My wife does the crapbooking too. (oops, did I mispell something again? ) It gets expensive. She's got shoeboxes stuffed full of pictures. Photopaper and ink is getting awfully expensive!
And remember, Eeboater, you got to get the acid free scrapbooks, and they're a lot more expensive. I think she's got over 15 books now.

By the way eeboater, your pic looks familiar. Did you ever live in VA?

Re: scrapebooking

Yikes Kalian... sounds like your misses has been in it for a lot longer than mine. As far as the acid free scrapbooks are concerned...... Never considered that. She might be buying them and I just don't know it... When we go to Joanne Fabrics, I usually flip through the posters while she goes through the 4.6 billion embellishments.

I don't believe I have ever lived in VA... I was born in Philly... but thats about as close as I have come to VA. Well, other than a vacation or two. Unless you are talking about my avatar... then, well, I have no clue where my girlfriend has lived. We're not at "that level" in the relationship yet.

:D

Sean
