Sea Foam : where do you get it?

I've looked in past post for a hint about Sea Foam, but other than it seems about the same as any other Stabilizer product, I've not seen it locally at least in my usual haunts. Not been to a marina or boat dealer, mayhaps, that should have been where I should have gone first.

Anybody with advice, I'd like to give my Suzi 150 a healthy dose of it when I get out on lake for spring, so the carbs are getting a clean out while I'm running. My gas tank had Stabil in it when it was parked this past fall. I'm guessing I'm probably alright but read in a post where SeaFoam seemed to be a good carb/fuel system cleaner.

If you go to the Sea Foam website it will give you local retailers. I believe I got mine at Advanced Auto Parts. I belive they have it at multiple auto parts stores though.

Thanks Jupitern - Now anybody, is the aerosol best or tank application best. I am trying to clean carb jets, and other fuel system areas. It looks like to clean carbon it's be best to use spray down throat of carb until it loads up and as directions said about letting it set for 5 min.? , and add the motor treatment to the fuel tank to clean jets.

Hey hankll. I usually get my SeaFoam from my local AutoZone but have also bought it at the local Northern Tool also. I have never bought the aeorsol type, just the plain jane bottle to dump in the tank. I ran across the below linked article last year, and follow it. It seems to be the best way to clean up those carbs. Good luck!

SC_Shane - just what I needed. Great article by someone knowledgeable and even I can do the procedure with an idea of what to expect (smoking heavily) so that I didn't think my motor was coming apart.

SeaFoam is the wonder stuff! I've used it on both my cars as well. It will smoke up the neighborhood when you use it. Last time I used it in a car, I pulled off at a church parking lot, hit it up sucking the SeaFoam into the brake booster vacume line, let it sit, and laughed a ton watching people point at me when I cranked it up and ran down the road with smoke POURING behind me. It was hillarious! So, yes, you're going to see a ton of smoke. THat's just the bad stuff burning away. Good luck!
