If any brand is good ...
Not what I said in the least.

All things being equal, I tend to like Sea Ray boats personally. So, to answer the theoretical ... I'd lean Sea Ray between the two options.

I have owned a 1989 30' Sea Ray Weekender for 24 years. The boat has had very few problems. But it now has wet stringers and transom. I believe that style boat was made from 1985 thru 1989.While I was shopping for that specific boat the first one I made an offer on failed the survey (wet stringers) Every boat like that at my club(seven or so) has had stringer problems. So as for quality goes it seems to be a crap shoot depending on what model you get. I would suggest you buy the one you like and hope for the best after you have researched that particular boat for major problems.

I say buy what you like. I didn't see if we're talking new or used, but let's assume the boat is newer than 1990. Most newer cruisers are like cars these days - its damn hard to buy a bad one. Quality differences are there, sure, but with proper care anything will last a long time.

So my answer is buy what you like and what works for you. Rinkers are good, Sea Rays are good, hell I am a Bayliner fan and I like those. Sea trial and see which one performs better.
